Great pool, and less than 5 mins walk to the centre of town. Very clean and was well above our expectation
Terrific location, lovely views and great amenities make this place the best we have ever been at in Port Douglas. Tennis court was lots of fun – we all loved the pool and the gardens were amazing. Chris and co were great hosts, always responsive if we needed anything, which we didn’t really – everything was provided. We will be back again.
We had an enjoyable nine days staying in this apartment, it’s spacious and comfortable with excellent living space. I also liked being able to look out to the hills, and glimpses of the sea. We spent lots of time on the balcony, and enjoyed having direct access to the gardens and pool area. It’s a small complex and we scarcely noticed the other guests. It’s a good location if you want to be close to the shops and cafes, and is a 10 min walk to Four Mile Beach. We enjoyed taking the slightly longer route via Island Point Rd to the Flagstaff Hill look out and down the track to the beach for a swim. It is up a small hill from the main street. We didn’t have a car so walked it often – usually with some supplies from the supermarket or bottle store, and found it fine (easier via Grant St than Wharf St). In the late afternoon/evening you can hear some of the live music from the nearby pubs on Macrossan St if the doors onto the deck are open, but it didn’t bother us. It certainly never kept us awake. As well as toiletries and some dishwasher and laundry powder, there were pantry basics including paper towels, foil, wrap, and oil – much appreciated. The apartment also has good WIFI plus a bluetooth speaker.
‘Great property and location and very attentive host! Spent 8 days/7 nights at Chris’ place for a family of 4 with 2 active teenagers. Chris’ idyllic spot allowed the family various, easy and stress-free options during a day. One of our best “itinerary” was to head down 4-mile beach for a swim in the morning (and of course, via a Macrossan street coffee stopover (Sparrow’s is our pick)), back to Macrossan street for a late lunch, quick mid-afternoon “rest/snooze”at The Point apartment, a little bit of tennis followed by a dip in pool. Once done, head up the stairs for a couple of drinks in the balcony and watch the sunset, followed by a bbq dinner (or head down to Macrossan st). No planning, driving, booking or queuing required!!! Family thoroughly enjoyed this trip, and for us, it was mainly because of our base. Thanks to Chris and team for making sure that The Point apt, as our base, was “delivered” as it was described (and more – we found when we checked in that Wifi was recently added and available – a great bonus for our teenagers)
We had a fantastic time staying at No. 7 The Point. The location is central, everything was super clean and there was tennis equipment for adults and kids. We had such a relaxing holiday and can’t wait to go back.
‘Wonderful place as in the picture. Has mostly everything you need. The location is very close to supermarkets and Anzac Park, where they hold Sunday markets every week. Chris will tell you about all the location and little tips to have a convenient stay. Also, we got to see New Year’s fireworks from the place. The pool was wonderful too. You get to walk directly from your room. It’s very deep so if your taking small child with you, be sure to take floats.’
We loved the place. The location is a bit up the hill, which makes it very peaceful, however a couple of minutes of sweaty walk to the center. Would return. The gardens are gorgeous and the views spectacular.
Great place, good amenities and great location. Awesome sunset views. Only downside is the carport is a bit tricky to get into. Overall would stay again in a heartbeat.
Best Place In Town
This is my sixth visit to PD and this is by far the best place in town. The apartment was great with all amenities plus a BBQ on the balcony which was well used as most restaurants booked out! The pool and gardens are magnificent and the main street is 100m down the hill including the Tin Shed Club so will be back next year and definitely stay at this beautiful end of town.
A lovely apartment with a fabulous balcony overlooking the pool & watch the sunset! Just a short walk up the hill behind the shops – excellent location! If you enjoy restaurants you definitely should pre-book ahead in Port Douglas at the moment!
Great bright outlook – great pool and tennis court among beautiful gardens. We worked from home for a week while staying here so spent a lot of time in the apartment and it was a really lovely place to be all day. Close to everything. Very easy.
What a fantastic airbnb!! The location was perfect, close to all the restaurants and cafes on both Macrossan St and the Wharf, but you are up in the treetops with an elevated view which makes you feel like you are away from the busy Main Street. The unit was really spacious, exceptionally clean and every detail has been thought of. We spent much of our time out on the balcony over-looking the pool. I am extremely fussy when it comes to accommodation and while this unit is not overly modern, it is super clean, well laid out and is a genuinely lovely space to be in. It is very good value for what you get and I would highly recommend this unit and will most definitely stay here next time we go back to Port Douglas! My only criticism is the main bed was more like a double not a queen and the pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, we loved everything about our stay here!
