Wonderful Family Holiday.
We had such a wonderful holiday in Port Douglas and Chris’s place made it so much easier and relaxing. Having the play ground right next door to our unit and the pool literally two steps away meant our 18 month old daughter was always entertained and kept happy☺️ I would highly recommend your place and if we return back again we will definitely stay here again!☺️
I stayed here for the last week of May with my wife and two kids (4 & 2) and it was fantastic. Pros: – The location within the resort is sensational. There is a pool within 15 paces of the back door (with a childproof gate) and it’s a really good one too. Loads of shady spots in the water, an island with an umbrella and a cool cave/tunnel to move through. – The other main resort pool is also fantastic and only a couple of mins walk away. – Undercover BBQ area with 5/6 electric BBQ’s, plenty of seating and small kids playground is also right outside the back gate to the unit. – Quiet location within resort has no car traffic and very limited foot traffic going past. – Comfortable couches/recliners in the lounge. – A/C, ceiling fans & TVs in all bedrooms. – 2 bathrooms – A few pool noodles for use in the pool. – Kitchen stocked with plenty of crockery, cutlery, utensils etc. – Chris’s communication. Really friendly & informative at check in and helpful with a couple of minor things (out of his control) that went wrong. – I’ve read on Trip Advisor that the resort was pretty run down and a bit unkempt. We didn’t really find this. While it’s clearly not a perfect 5 star resort, there were numerous ground staff out making sure the place was tidy with minimal leaf litter on paths, none at all in the pools and no overgrowth of the many many trees next to paths. Cons: – Doesn’t have a private parking bay/carport. The guest car park is only about a 20 metre walk though, so not too bad. – Beds are pretty firm, but nothing worse than you would find at typical hotel/resort accommodation
Great For Families
Great place for families with young children.
